How It Works

Components of Linguify™ run either as a web-proxy (on-premise or cloud-based) or on your Windows-based PCs or mobile devices. Desktop apps and client-server apps are translated by intercepting their output before it reaches the operating system. Web-apps have a choice of a pure client-side solution that intercepts the browser or a proxy-based solution wherein the proxy is either on-premise or cloud-based. Mainframe apps are translated by intercepting the output of the terminal emulator.

Linguify™ then extracts text from the intercepted output and looks up a manually created application-specific dictionary to provide translations. The translated text is then passed on to the operating system, and the user sees the application in the translated language, without knowing or realizing that the application itself is not globalized.
